Program

Genesis Building Controls Ltd sends building management system (BMS) alarm alerts by SMS text message to subscribers who have opted in. Messages notify you of alarm conditions at your building / site.

How to opt in

You opt in by submitting our opt-in form with your mobile number and consent, or through a written or verbal request to Genesis. By opting in you agree to receive recurring automated alarm text messages at the number provided.

Message frequency

Alerts are recurring and event-driven — up to approximately 20 messages per day, varying with building alarm activity.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier plan. Genesis does not charge for the alerts.

Help

Reply HELP to any message for help, or contact us at 250-448-5001 or support@genesiscontrols.ca.

Opt out

Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from all alerts. To stop a single site only, reply "<site> STOP". You may also opt out via the opt-out option on our form. After you opt out we send one confirmation and no further messages (for a full opt-out). Standard opt-out keywords (STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) are honoured.

Carrier disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to your carrier's network and coverage. This alarm-notification service is a convenience and should not be relied upon as the sole means of alarm monitoring.

Privacy

Your information is handled per our Privacy Policy. Mobile opt-in and consent to receive SMS will not be shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing purposes.
